EA Madden NFL 15 Release Date: Aug. 26 for US, Aug. 29 for Europe
Electronic Arts revealed the release date of their next Madden NFL title to be on Aug. 26 for North America and Aug. 29 for Europe. Madden NFL 15 will be made available for the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, and the Xbox One.
Madden NFL 15 will be the 26th title in the football sports video game made by EA. Much like the FIFA franchise being based on the various football leagues like Barclay's Premier League or the World Cup teams, Madden NFL is based on actual existing teams, mostly on the American National Football League.
On June 6, the cover box art of the game featured Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, after a 16-player bracket vote that comprised of both offensive and defensive players. Other players in the bracket included Jimmy Graham, Luke Keuchly, Nick Foles, Cam Newton, and Alfred Morris among others.
The game was first announced earlier this year, sometime late April. It made its announcement via a release video that featured NFL linebacker and Defensive Player of the Year, Luke Keuchly. The game was announced further during the 2014 Electronic Entertainment Expo.
EA particularly emphasized the improvements of the defensive plays in the upcoming title. With the improvements, the company is promising the "most immersive defensive gameplay control in franchise history." They will also be collaborating with ESPN again for a new broadcast presentation.
During the E3 earlier this year, EA did not release a demo of the game. Most other games that were set for a 2014 release got demos and some people are wondering why there aren't any. EA issued a statement on the matter.
"The difficult decision not to do a demo for Madden was strictly a result of the team's commitment to deliver the highest-quality game possible. We chose to put 100 percent of our development resources toward the full game," the company said.
