'EA Sports UFC 3' News: Beta to Go Live Later This Month, Find Out What It Features

Upcoming beta will be 'only chance' for fans to try out the game ahead of its official launch

Following its official unveiling last week, the folks over at Electronic Arts are now preparing  "EA Sports UFC 3" for an upcoming beta test.

Announced just recently on the game's official website, the beta will begin on Nov. 27 and will be open to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players.

Only those who will register for the beta will have their names entered into the pool of potential participants.

PS4 players are also required to have a PS Plus membership if they want to participate in the testing, while Xbox One owners have to be subscribed to Xbox Live Gold.

Players who are chosen to take part in the "EA Sports UFC 3" beta will be able to try out a few of the game's modes.

For those just looking to jump into matches right away that feature some of their favorite MMA fighters, they can opt to try out either the Quick Fight or Fight Now Classic modes.

If beta participants feel as though they could use some more training before they get involved in matches, they can also opt to spend time in Practice Mode.

The revamped Practice Mode will now also offer players AI recording. With this feature, players can assign a specific sequence for a CPU-controlled fighter to follow during the training session. This was designed to help players better prepare for specific attack patterns or defensive strategies that certain fighters may utilize.

UFC Ultimate Team mode will also be made available during the beta.

MMA fans will be able to take part in the beta testing until Dec. 1.

Notably, the new G.O.A.T. Career Mode that was announced previously for the game is not going to be in the beta, so fans will have to wait for launch day to see that.

"EA Sports UFC 3" will be officially released on Feb. 2.
