'Elder Scrolls 6' Release Date, News: Bethesda Already Prepping for Production?
While "Elder Scrolls 6" is a long way off, there are reports that Bethesda Game Studios could already be getting ready for its development.
A new job posting for a 3D animator on the website of Bethesda's parent company, Zenimax Studios, was recently spotted, sparking rumors that this person will end up working on the next "Elder Scrolls" game.
The 3D animator will help Bethesda "create and implement gameplay animations and work closely with artists, programmers, designers and producers."
Gamingbolt points out one of the responsibilities that this new artist will have, which is to "apply graphic design/animation principles to create high-quality animations."
The site believes this could be applicable to "Elder Scrolls 6" simply because it is expected of Bethesda to up its game on the animation side of things after the flak "Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" received in this department.
This would mean that not only is Bethesda attempting to rectify this issue, but it is also getting started with the development of "Elder Scrolls 6." Nevertheless, the report is still to be taken with a pinch of salt.
After all, Bethesda marketing and public relations head Pete Hines noted a lot of times that they will not begin development on the next installment of the "Elder Scrolls" franchise until after they complete their work on two new and massive titles.
Bethesda director and designer Todd Howard said via Digital Spy when "Elder Scrolls 6" was made official that the game is just "many years from now" and that fans won't hear about it soon.
Since it will come after the two new games, which he described as "bigger than anything we've done," it will likely take a while, especially for Bethesda, which is known for taking its time on its offerings.
Whether or not the 3D animator job posting is for "Elder Scrolls 6" remains to be seen, but it will still be a long wait before fans get concrete details about the game.
