'Elder Scrolls Online' Dark Brotherhood DLC release date announced
Bethesda has announced the release date of the latest "Elder Scrolls Online" DLC, Dark Brotherhood. Those who can't wait to try it out can do so through the Public Test Server as well.
"The Elder Scrolls" Dark Brotherhood DLC will become available to PC and Mac players on May 31. Meanwhile, PS4 and Xbox One players can start playing with the add-on content starting June 14.
The new game pack features the Dark Brotherhood, a guild of assassins from the Gold Coast at the westernmost point of the empire. By joining the guild, players can unlock a new and exclusive passive skill tree. Players will also have access to the Gold Coast and be able to explore Anvil and Kvatch, both of which were previously featured in "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion." Bethesda also promises "hours of exciting story content and quests" but don't specify how many hours the DLC will add to the game. As a new assassin for hire, players can dress up in Dark Brotherhood-inspired costumes, motifs, and item sets as they embark on new, repeatable quests involving contracts and the Black Sacrament.
The Dark Brotherhood content is free for those with ESO Plus subscription. Otherwise, players can purchase the DLC from the game's Crown Store for 2,000 crowns. And as usual, it will come in two parts, the DLC game pack and the base game patch.
The base game patch will be a free update that adds poison making and removes veteran ranks, among other things. Of course, the patch will also include the customary gameplay balance changes.
In addition to the game pack and patch, there will also be a Dark Brotherhood DLC Collector's Bundle. The bundle will include the game pack plus the Highland Wolf Mount, the Sylvian Nixad pet, and five Crown Experience Scrolls. The bundle costs 4,000 crowns from the Crown Store.
Players can also try out "The Elder Scrolls" Dark Brotherhood DLC on the Public Test Server, if they prefer.
