Season 5 of "Elementary" will premiere in October and fans of the crime-drama series based on the life of Sherlock Holmes just cannot wait for the juicy updates regarding the next season.
Reports say that "Elementary" Season 5 will feature the possible wedding between Paige and Gregson. Paige, played by Virginia Madsen and Gregson portrayed by Aidan Quinn had major relationship issues last season. This heartbreak led to the pair's breakup.
Joan Watson, played by Lucy Liu, discovered Paige's secret. She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, which was unknown to Gregson. Joan told Gregson of Paige's condition with hopes that the two would be able to patch things up. These events have led to the speculation that a possible engagement may happen in Season 5.

Rob Doherty, showrunner of "Elementary" divulged in an interview that the next season will show an evolution of Paige and Gregson's relationship. A proposal could be at hand, considering that the two are not getting any younger as well.
Special 100th episode
"Elementary" will air its 100th episode this October, marking a special milestone for the series. To celebrate this special episode, reports said that Owain Yeoman of the crime-drama series "The Mentalist" will guest star. Yeoman will play a scientist who was Sherlock's former boarding school classmate. Sherlock will ask him for help regarding a murder related to asteroids and being friends, Yeoman will quickly oblige.
Possible plot revealed
The plot for Episode 1 of Season 5 was disclosed in a report. It said that the episode will be about a man who is looking for a way to determine the existence of killer asteroids. Apparently, the man will become the victim of a murder and this is when Sherlock and his accomplices come in to solve the case.
Doherty promised that the special 100th episode will be full of mysteries along with plot twists and suspense that the show is known for. He also hinted that the character played by Yeoman will not be that serious at all, and that in fact, they are planning to make him colorful. Yeoman was also in a few episodes of The CW's "Supergirl", where he played Vartox.
