'Elementary' Season 6 Spoilers: Sherlock Plans to Leave the Brownstone?

Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller) may be planning to leave the Brownstone for a while in the upcoming season of "Elementary."

Executive producer Rob Doherty recently revealed that the consultant will need some time off to calm himself before facing the huge setbacks he will encounter in the new installment. In the previous season's finale, the doctors told Sherlock it was possible he had a brain tumor. The actual prognosis was not revealed, but speculations are rife that it will not be good. The EP said that Sherlock will likely want some time alone to think. This may mean leaving the Brownstone, his and Joan's (Lucy Liu) home.

"Suffice to say, Sherlock will have a lot more on his plate. Working as a detective is about to become a lot more complicated for him, and life in general, the brownstone, will become more complicated for him and Joan," the EP teased.

After their ugly fight, Sherlock and Joan's relationship will continue to encounter problems. On her part, she is still angry that her partner did not attend Shinwell's (Nelsan Ellis) funeral. As for Sherlock, he has yet to tell Joan about his fears regarding his health. When he eventually decides to confess, he may be too late to bridge the gap that separates them. It has been revealed that the person who will stay at Sherlock's side all throughout this whole ordeal is not Joan, but a former addict.

Spoilers indicate that an old acquaintance named Michael (to be played by Desmond Harrington) will act as Sherlock's savior. Michael reportedly knew the consultant from way back when they were both attending AA meetings. He was inspired with his words and has promised himself that if given the chance, he will want to return the favor. Michael, however, is said to be keeping a dark secret.

"Elementary" season 6 is rumored to air in 2018.
