Emily Maynard, John Mayer Spark Cheating Reports Over Suspicious Texts

"Bachelorette" star Emily Maynard has found herself embroiled in a new cheating scandal following her recent split from season eight winner Jef Holm. A new report claims that the single mom has been exchanging suspicious text messages with Katy Perry's boyfriend John Mayer.

Maynard has kept a low profile since calling off he engagement to Holm, 28, but a source claims that rather than wallowing in self pity she has instead been flirting with Mayer, 35, according to Life & Style magazine.

"I'm shocked he'd be talking to Emily, but she is gorgeous. I don't know how she does it, but she's got all of these guys chasing after her," a source told Life & Style.

"Emily is bored out of her mind" living in Charlotte, N.C., continues the insider. "So she sits at home and flirts with guys via text. That's what got her in trouble with her ex fiancé, Jef Holm."

In August it was claimed that Maynard had exchanged salacious text messages to another man, which was rumored to be the reason behind an explosive fight that allegedly broke out between her and Holm. Weeks later, after denying the cheating reports, the pair split.

"There were texts and pictures: 'Let's do this and that with each other,'" a source previously told Us Magazine.

Mayer has been dating Perry, 28, for several months and up until Christmas day fans assumed that the couple were getting serious.

While celebrating the festive holiday Perry tweeted a photo of Mayer dressed in Santa gear alongside the caption "Santa Baby," which appeared to confirm their relationship status. It is unclear whether the "Wide Awake" singer is aware of the recent cheating claims.

Mayer previously admitted that he is "a huge fan" of the "Bachelor" franchise series, ironcically describing it as his "guilty pleasure" while on "The Ellen Degeneres Show."
