Eminem Album 2017 Release Date: Rapper Collaborating With Dr. Dre in One More Project?
Eminem is working on a brand -new album, but it looks like fans will be hearing more from the rap god beyond the project.
A report by The Hollywood Reporter states that the "Stan" rapper and Dr. Dre are collaborating for new music that will be featured in the soundtrack of "Bodied," a satire that delves into the underground hip-hop world and how politically incorrect it could be.
Having recently premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), the film is directed by Joseph Khan, who recently made headlines after the release of Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" music video, which he directed as well.
Eminem serves as one of the producers for "Bodied" and is set to contribute to the soundtrack along with longtime manager Paul Rosenberg.
While there was no new music featured in the version that was shown at TIFF, "Eminem will contribute a number of songs to the soundtrack" when it is ready for distribution, as per The Hollywood Reporter. The rapper apparently sought the help of Dr. Dre for two songs as well.
Previous reports have suggested that apart from "Bodied," Eminem and Dr. Dre have been working together for the "Without Me" rapper's upcoming album.
Not that long ago, "The Defiant Ones" director Allan Hughes teased that one of the things that keeps Dr. Dre busy is his project with Eminem.
People don't know this: Dre records every day. Literally, he's in there recording songs every day. He's like Picasso in that way. He's always painting. Right now he's producing, in the 11th hour, a track for Eminem's latest album. So Dre's still real active in music, you know? But I hear what you're saying. It's the truth.
Eminem's new album is rumored to be released this fall. Fans can expect to hear about it sooner than later. Additionally, it looks like this will not be the last time they will be treated with new music from him.
