Eminem Set to Headline 2 Major Events This Year
Ever since announcing his new album, Eminem has kept quiet about what he has in store for his fans. Thankfully, Stat Quo has revealed what he knows.
He did so during an interview with DX Live. Admittedly, it is not much, but it should be enough to assure fans that the Rap God is cooking something up.
As fans know, Star Quo and Eminem once worked together under Shady Records up until his controversial exit from the record label. As he talked about this, he revealed that the "Lose Yourself" rapper is working on the album.
"Denaun [Porter] called me yesterday [when] him and Em were working on the album and he was telling me, and I haven't really been in the room with [Eminem, since leaving Shady Records], that s—t that happens is still what they say when they mention me," he revealed.
Eminem has kept the details about his next album to a minimum. When he announced the project last year, he also released a new track where he slammed then-presidential candidate Donald Trump.
The rapper did not provide information on when the album will be released, but Stat Quo's statement reveals he is hard at work on it.
While waiting, fans can catch Eminem at this year's Glasgow Summer Sessions at Bellahouston Park on August 24. The artist will headline the big show again after the same stint four years ago.
"We're delighted to announce that Eminem will be returning to play Glasgow Summer Sessions. His performance at Bellahouston Park in 2013 was spectacular, so I have no doubt this will be one of the gigs of the year," Glasgow Summer Sessions organizer Geoff Ellis said, according to NME.
Eminem will put on a show along with Run the Jewels, Danny Brown and Russ. Tickets for the show are already available.
Eminem was also revealed as the final headliner for the Reading & Leeds festival happening August 24 to 26. He will take the stage on the third day of the event.
The "Stan" rapper is not new to the Reading & Leeds stage, as he headlined the shows back in 2001 and 2013.
