Eminem MMLP 2 Performance Promo Clips From 'SNL' Released

Eminem will make an appearance on this weekend's "Saturday Night Live" to promote his new MMLP 2 album.

The rapper will most likely perform selections from the new record including his platinum single "Bezerk" with other potential choices being "Rap God" and "Survival." Unreleased tracks from the album could also be thrown into the mix.

This weekend's episode includes other guests such as actress Kerry Washington who appears in the clips alongside Eminem. The ad for the episode features Eminem and Washington.

In the ad, Washington promotes the program while Eminem stands there with an extremely serious expression and says nothing. In the second ad Washington says they are going for cupcakes after the show and claims it was "his idea." Eminem has the same expression as the first ad and replies to Washington's statement by telling her that he "loves cupcakes."

This is Eminem's sixth appearance on the sketch comedy show. His first being in 1999 followed by more in 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2010. The later featuring a performance with him and Lil Wayne. In his 2000 appearance he starred in one of the sketches that paid homage to 1980s hip-hop.

Eminem's recent press is for new record and sequel to his 2000 diamond album The Marshall Mathers LP 2.

The new record is executive produced by Dr. Dre and Rick Rubin and features appearances by Skylar Grey and Kendrick Lamar. It is the rapper's first solo effort since 2010's Recovery. The album recently leaked onto the internet and has received generally positive reviews from music critics.

It has already spawned three singles including "Bezerk" "Survival" and the Rihanna-assisted "Monster."

Eminem described the album in a Rolling Stone interview as more of a revisitation to his original MMLP than a sequel.
