'Empire' Season 2 Episode 3 Recap: Lucious Lyon Is Back
The previous episode of the hit series "Empire" clearly portrayed Lucious Lyon as the heartless human being he is.
Episode 3 of "Empire" season 2 began with Lucious Lyon out of jail, and with plans to reclaim his throne. It was seen that his lawyer was able to bail him out.
In order to rub it into the faces of Cookie and his sons, he invited them to dinner. It can be expected that his invitation was for them to ask for forgiveness. Despite Andre's happiness for his father back, it was evident that Cookie and Hakeem were not so keen on the idea.

While Lucious' dinner plans proved ineffective, he turned to his ex-girlfriend Anika to help him take down Cookie. Thinking that Anika was still working with Cookie, he tries to get her on his side to backstab her.
Unfortunately, he was unaware that it was not also going to be effective. As for Cookie, she finds out that Lucious is having a soiree. Cookie brings her own fire to the night when she features Timbaland and Hakeem performing a hit song after Jamal's track with Pitbull. This showed that Cookie is not here to play. She continued her plan when she brings out Debbie Allen and Mirage a Tois to perform on Sway's radio show.
In other news, characters Andre, played by Trai Byers, and Rhonana, played by Kaitlin Doubleday, were seen planning to announce their good news to the family. It was revealed that the couple is currently expecting a baby. Andre tried to use this as leverage to get his father to let him return to Empire.
"Empire" season 2 is expected to air on FOX every Wednesday.
