Meanwhile, Cookie, played by Taraji P. Henson, was seen enjoying her time with her new romantic interest, Laz, played by Adam Rodriguez since she can now rest knowing her son is back. After spending a couple days in bed together, Cookie was ready to start working again.

It was reported that Cookie was inspired to organize a concert to showcase the different artists of Lyon Dynasty. She decided to call the concert "Cookie's Cookout."

However, it was shown that Laz is not who Cookie thinks he is since he is planning to get the money that Cookie will make from the concert in order to help out the group who was responsible for Hakeem's kidnapping. He told one of his gang members that he will take money from Cookie to give them more than ten times the money they asked for for Hakeem.

As for Andre, he was seen consulting his pastor after his father asked him to meet with Mayor Alvarez, played by Sari Sanchez, in order to get rid of Freda's gang issues. Andre was nervous to interact with Alvarez because he is afraid that it will cause him to sin. With that, Andre was told that Lucious is trying to test him once again. The pastor then told Andre that he should think of an alternative route to achieve his goals for Empire in a way that does not put him or his faith in danger. Like he expected, Alvarez tried to seduce him. However, he managed to get her to drop the injunction his own way.

"Empire" season 2 airs every Wednesdays.
