'Empire' Season 2 Spoilers News: Lucious Emerged As A Free Man; Andre To Be Baptized On 'Be True'
Lucious Lyon is now technically a free man and can breathe easy after his case got dismissed. On the other hand, Andre makes a move that he sees will rid him of his ugly past in the new and upcoming episode of Fox's hit drama TV series "Empire" Season 2.
The latest promo for the episode titled "Be True" (via International Business Times) shows Lucious rising back, from the mire situation he once was in, as a free man.
"To the top of the Billboard charts, to the balcony of the New York Stock Exchange, to a prison cell in Brooklyn, Lucious Lyon has emerged a free man," the video's voice-over can be heard.
Of course, the first order of business for the Empire CEO is to have his label reinstated in its place, get rid of the competition, all while rounding up his family back together again. His intention, however, would be to gain full control over them as opposed to that kind of "parental love," co-creator and executive producer Danny Strong said in the video (via IBT). Needless to say, this won't come easy for Lucious.
Over at Lyon Dynasty, the synopsis of the episode hinted that Cookie and Anika will be busy working together with Laz to prepare for the "Cookie Lyon's Block Party" event which will see the launching of the company. The summary teased that the occasion will showcase the performances of the label's own artists. It will also hold the premiere for the official Dynasty anthem which was written by Hakeem.
Jamal, on his part, will be seen working closely with Ne-Yo while Hakeem begins to feel something more for the lead singer of his girl group. Fans will also get to see Andre calling on his brothers as he gets himself baptized as a way to "rid his soul of past sins."
"Empire" Season 2 airs Wednesday, 9/8c on Fox.
