It seems that Cookie Lyon has several enemies in the show but Kitty is sure to be one of her allies. Taraji P. Henson shared in a report that there will not be a rift between the two characters in "Empire" Season 3. She noted that everybody will think of a feud but there won't be.

Kitty is a close friend of cookie who helps Jamal (Jussie Smollet) in a song. Aside from collaborating on a song, Kitty also help Jamal get through a personal tragic experience. It can be remembered that Jamal was shot in Season 2. This brought him something to go through in a tragic way.
It is also speculated that Cookie will die in "Empire" Season 3 and Kitty will replace her. It is also possible that the speculated death in the season has something to do with the fight of Anika (Grace Gealey) and Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) on the rooftop.
There are also revelations that Empire Season 3 is going to have a darker theme. Cookie will take care of herself more and may find love again through Angelo Dubois (Taye Diggs).She will also live life the way she wants it.
Lucious Will Deal With Childhood Wounds
"Empire" Season 3 will still be a heavy drama series. Fans can expect Andre (Trai Byers) and Leah (Leslie Uggams) to be closer to each other. Hakeem (Bryshere Gray) will find love again with Tiana (Serayah) after the failed marriage to Laura (Jamilla Velasquez). However, a conflict will arise since Tiana is together with Gram.
Meanwhile, Lucious (Terrence Howard) will face his childhood demons in "Empire" Season 3. His half-brother Tariq will have him face his past. Tariq (Morroco Omari) will do anything to put Lucious down.
In" Empire" Season 3 it will finally be revealed who fell off the rooftop brawl of Anika and Rhonda. The show will also reveal what happens to Lucious now that he is haunted by his past. As for Cookie, she may find love again after all. Kitty and Jamal will have a record breaking song that they both collaborated in. This can be Jamal's way to success after the traumatic incident.
