'Empire' Season 3: Andre Will Show Lucious No Mercy
Andre (Trai Byers) is out to get Lucious (Terrence Howard) in the upcoming episode of "Empire." It is payback time for the son who has hated his father from the start.
Previously, executive producer Sanaa Hamri shared that the character to watch out for in the second half of the current installment is Andre. Lucious and Cookie's (Taraji P. Henson) eldest son is out for revenge and he has his father in his sights. Andre promised Rhonda's (Kaitlin Doubleday) ghost that he would avenge her and their baby's deaths. It was revealed that Andre blames Lucious for what happened. It did not help that Nessa (Sierra Aylina McClain) has been egging him on to turn his back on his family. She has Andre wrapped around her little fingers.
"He's extremely dangerous. Andre has nothing to lose. He is the shunned brother with no kind of creative talent, who's never been the apple of Lucious' eye. And not only that, Lucious let him falter and tread water in a very dangerous way as a teenager, not ackowledging [bipolar] disorder. ... His father always made him feel like a freak. Now having lost his wife and lost his child, Andre has become the most ruthless one — and he's learned a lot from his father, too," the EP said in an interview with TVLine.

The promo does not reveal much, but the episode is expected to unveil Andre's next step against his father. Lucious still has no idea that his son was the one behind the hacking that took place last time. Andre pulled it off without alerting any of his family members. Lucious will not see his son coming, as he believes that the FBI and Shyne (Xzibit) are the ones who he must keep an eye on. Andre is the last person he will be worried about, as he thinks the boy is not capable of anything big. Lucious has always underestimated Andre's skills and this may be his biggest mistake.
"Empire" season 3 will return on March 22, 9 p.m. EST on Fox.
