'Empire' Season 3B Release date, Plot News: New Season Starts on March 22
The highly anticipated return of the third season of "Empire" is set to return on Wednesday, March 22, at 9:00 p.m. EST on Fox network. The fans of the musical drama hit could not be happier when the next half of the new season for the popular series promises to build on the excitement built up over the first half.
With the close of last year, the first half of "Empire" also ends with viewers wondering for how long Angelo (Taye Diggs) can kick and struggle through every roadblock on his run for the position of city mayor of no less than New York City. After trying and tossing one idea after another, Angelo finally decides to give himself a chance to be helped by a person he could trust to deliver. Angelo seeks out and finds Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), asking her for any ideas on how he could encourage the people of New York to find something in common with the city mayor candidate.

The piece she chose when she agreed to help Angelo was "Help," and they decide that the Captain's Ball will be their best shot for a venue that can reach as many voters as they can in the limited time that they have.
