'Empire' Season 4 Spoilers: Upcoming Episodes To Explain Claudia's Obsession With The Lyons?
Nurse Claudia Fletcher's (Demi Moore) link with the Lyons will be discussed when "Empire" returns for the second half of season 4.
Based on the trailer for the midseason finale, the heads of the powerful Lyon family will be under Claudia's mercy since she abducted them due to her obsession with the head of the Empire Entertainment company.
In an interview with Deadline, showrunner Ilene Chaiken revealed that since Claudia was part of the premiere episode of the spring season, she will also be featured in the second half of the winter season "in a very big way."
According to the showrunner, Claudia's involvement with Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) will completely unveil in the show's upcoming episodes.
"The story that we're telling with her really comes to a head and she's a fascinating character for us, really important to Lucious and his rehabilitation such as it is," Chaiken stated. She also said that Moore's character is very significant to Cookie's decision-making now that she heads the Lyon family, as well as in dealing with Lucious' problem.
Claudia's story will also pave the way to strengthen the story of Rumer Willis' character Tory Ash. "In the first half of the season, I would say that we're just kind of establishing her presence as an artist and then as a person who plays a role in the lives of our characters, who has a relationship with each of our characters," the showrunner also stated. "But her big story doesn't kick off until her mother's story is played out."
Aside from their problem with Claudia, the second half of "Empire" season 4 is also expected to unveil Eddie Barker's (Forest Whittaker) plans to regain their wealth after his ex-wife Giselle (Nicole Ari Parker) told him that they are broke.
Fox will air the midseason premiere episode of "Empire" season 4 this spring.
