England vs Germany Live Stream: Watch International Friendly Online Free

Roy Hodgson will be fielding a strong starting XI for England's International Friendly against Germany at Wembley on Tuesday showing how serious the England manager is about this match.

While there are no points on the line there is national pride and history. England has the opportunity to beat Germany at Wembley for the first time since 1975 and the English supporters will be hoping for a positive result, and certainly a better showing that they put on in their last encounter where they lost 4-1 in South Africa at the World Cup.

During England's last victory against Germany at Wembley 38 years ago Don Revie's side saw off West Germany 2-1 in north London, but the Three Lions have enjoyed victory at home against Germany just once in five attempts since. The Germans have gotten the better of England in some memorable matches including the semifinals of Euro 96, the last match at the old Wembley in 2000 and England's first loss at the new Wembley on 2007.

Germany is perhaps taking a different approach and coach Joachim Low will start several of his bench players. Captain Philipp Lahm, Manuel Neuer and Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil were all left out for this match.

Injured midfielder Sami Khedira will also be out for a long period with his World Cup appearance being placed in jeopardy after suffering a knee injury.

Still England striker Daniel Sturridge will be called upon after recovering from a foot injury.

"(It is a) great prospect to play against them, a great occasion for players to enjoy," Sturridge told reporters during a press conference. "I think we have to worry about the way we play, not the opposition. We have to improve as a team, and not worry about anyone else. It's great. Everyone gets along, everyone enjoys playing for the manager, enjoys training. We are happy to be together and it's great to be a part of it."

Kick off is at 3:00 p.m. ET and can be watched online here.
