Evelyn Lozada First TV Interview With 'GMA' After Domestic Violence
Evelyn Lozada is reportedly preparing to film her first televised interview since her infamous domestic violence assault incident involving her estranged husband Chad Johnson took place on Aug. 11.
The Vh1 reality TV star has agreed to participate in a candid interview with ABC's "Good Morning America" in coming days, and although she was originally scheduled to sit down with popular anchor Robin Roberts, Lozada will now be interviewed by Amy Robach due to Roberts' ongoing health concerns.
Lozada, 37, has requested a private setting in her hotel room for her highly anticipated interview and traveling would have forced Roberts to miss a treatment session for her blood disorder, myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). As a result Robach has stepped in, and Lozada is said to be "happy" regarding the replacement, according to TMZ.com.

The "Basketball Wives" star is expected to open up about what exactly occurred on the night of Aug. 11. Lozada confronted Johnson, her husband of just five weeks at the time, over a receipt that she had found for condoms when violence ensued, according to reports.
She allegedly told police that Johnson, 34, head butted her, causing a 3-inch laceration on her forehead. Lozada was treated at the scene and the unemployed NFL star was arrested and taken in to police custody before posting $2,500 bail the following day.
"It gets pretty heated," Davie Police Department Capt. Dale Engle told The Sun Sentinel. "By the time they get home here in Davie it's pretty heated. She alleges he leaned over and head butted her. He says she leaned towards him and that they butted heads. Needless to say, she has a good laceration on her forehead."
Following the incident, Lozada filed for divorce from Johnson, who lost his position with the Miami Dolphins as a result of the allegations after just 40 days.
So far, Lozada has only spoken through a public statement to TMZ, which she released shortly after the incident.
"I am deeply disappointed that Chad has failed to take responsibility for his actions and made false accusations against me," Lozada told TMZ.com. "It is my sincere hope that he seeks the help he needs to overcome his troubles. Domestic violence is not okay and hopefully my taking a stand will help encourage other women to break their silence as well."
Johnson, who is reportedly facing financial woes since losing his job, also spoke out in his own statement.
"I would like to apologize to everyone for the recent events that have occurred. I would like to wish Evelyn well and will never say anything bad about her because I truly love her to death. I will continue to be positive and train hard for another opportunity in the NFL. To all the fans and supporters I have disappointed, you have my sincerest apologies. I will stay positive and get through this tough period in my life," Johnson posted on his blog.
