'Expendables 4' news: Hulk Hogan and Dwayne Johnson to play villains
After a long wait, fans of the "Expendables" franchise need not wait for too long as new reports state that Sylvester Stallone is finally working on the script for the fourth installment.
Aside from news of the script in the works, Venture Capital Post says Stallone has also began the search for casting famous Hollywood names to be part of the next film.
Several outlets said Stallone is eyeing the "immortal" Hulk Hogan and the "Fast and Furious" star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to play as main antagonists in the movie.
In a statement during the Body Power Expo at the NEC Arena in Birmingham, England, Hogan referred to Stallone as a "great friend" for the past years and he also mentioned that they are currently discussing the "possibilities" that both can take in the movie. "We're trying to figure out a way to maybe turn me into the most evil man in the world," he said, adding that though he can't jump and run as fast or as high as he could before, he believes Hollywood could make a way to get him a good stunt man.
In separate interviews, other cast members like Jason Statham and Arnold Schwarzenegger have expressed their desire to work on yet another Expendables movie. Statham particularly said he would love to work on as many movies in the franchise as long as Stallone wants him on the cast. Schwarzenegger said he was always convinced that there was still room for a part 4.
While some cast members of the previous installment believe that it was a failure, mostly due to the leaked copy of the movie that was released online three weeks before the release, a lot of the veterans who were seen on the first two installments believe there is a huge chance for the fourth part to be a box office hit.
One exciting rumor that surfaced recently is that of Manny Pacquiao joining the roster for the fourth movie. Although there is still no confirmation from both sides, many Filipinos have stated that they will look forward to the movie.
