'Fairy Tail' Chapter 530: Anna Heartfilia Joins Fight Against Acnologia, Plans to Trap Enemy in Time Lapse
The battle to defeat the Black Dragon Acnologia found new hope in the appearance of Anna Heartfilia. How will the Dragon Slayer's mentor turn victory to the side of good in the next chapter of the Japanese manga series "Fairy Tail"?
Chapter 529, aptly titled "Teacher," featured the reunion of Wendy and Anna, her mentor from 400 years ago, who was also the one who opened the gate of eclipse into the future in order to let herself along with the five Dragon Slayers pass through for the sole purpose of bringing Acnologia down. She may not have made contact with her students since they crossed over to the year X777, but she has continuously watched over them amid her discovery of an enormous force that can rid the world of Acnologia once and for all.
This chapter also revealed that Anna is the ancestor of "Fairy Tail" guild's celestial mage, Lucy Heartfilia, and that it was Lucy's mother, Layla, who closed the gate of eclipse's exit, and that it was actually Zeref who built the gate of eclipse in the first place.

What could this enormous force be that can allegedly seal Acnologia away in the very ravines of time and quite possibly return him to nothingness? Will the Christina really be able to lure Acnologia into this place without the Black Dragon figuring out their plan? And what is Zeref's end game? Will Natsu be able to defeat Zeref and return his older brother to his deepest, rawest emotions free of his own magic's curse?
Fans are referring to this enormous force as Time Lapse, and are expressing concern about a possible deus ex machina way of dealing with Acnologia that would ultimately render the Dragon Slayers' years of training and sacrifice useless.
But other fans are still holding out hope that the Dragon Slayers will be able to play their role to its fullest potential; that the Time Lapse plan may only provide a temporary reprieve from the battle in order for the heroes to come together and plan their next move.
The next chapter of "Fairy Tail" titled "Neo Eclipse" is expected to shed more light on what the Time Lapse is and how it can work against Acnologia. It will come out on the next issue of the "Weekly Shounen Jump" magazine.
