Falcon and Other Avengers to Make Appearance in 'Ant-Man?' (VIDEO)
With only two months to go before Marvel's "Ant-Man" hits theaters, rumors have surfaced the Falcon and some members of the Avengers will appear in the movie.
Speculations have emerged Anthony Mackie's Falcon character and some of the Marvel Avengers will be making an appearance on "Ant-Man" when it premieres in theaters on July 17.
After a potential spoiler emerged last week via LEGO's Marvel Superheroes set, pointing towards a surprise villain in the person of Michael Douglas' Hank Pym, who the toy company portrayed as an even greater evil compared to Yellowjacket, Marvel has surprised fans yet again with another spoiler.
"Ant-Man" director Peyton Reed has teased it may possible the Falcon and other Avengers will be seen in the upcoming 12th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but refusing to reveal any more information, telling Empire Magazine the information is "classified."
As it's already been announced Scott Lang's character will be in "Captain America: Civil War" on May 6 next year, it may make sense for a plotline involving the Avengers making a cameo in the credits scene to recruit Ant-Man to the Avengers.
This isn't the first teaser-spoiler Marvel has pulled on its fans. It previously released a brief look at the Vision in a trailer before it officially launched movie posters for April's "Avengers: Age of Ultron."
With conjecture the "tortured and guilt-ridden" character of Hank Pym may be the prevailing evil in the film, it isn't a far stretch to imagine the Falcon and other still unnamed Avengers lending their hand to Paul Rudd's Scott Lang.
Rudd plays reformed thief and petty criminal Lang, who recruited by Pym to steal the Ant-Man technology back from Pym's former protégé, Darren Cross (Corey Stoll) who is intent on militarizing the technology. Lang then acquires the substance allowing him to shrink in size while increasing in strength.
"Ant-Man" also stars Evangeline Lilly, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peňa, Judy Greer, Tip Harris, and Wood Harris.
