Fall TV Premiere Dates October 2017: ''The Flash,' 'Mr. Robot,' Stranger Things' and More

With October rolling around come the much-awaited pilots and brand-new seasons of a litany of hit shows including The CW's much-loved comic book adaptations to AMC and Netflix favorites.

FOX animated shows like "Bob's Burgers" and "The Simpsons" has already opened the month but the network is about to make the nights of TV fans more supercharged with the premiere of "The Gifted" tonight at 9 p.m. ET as well as a new season of "Lucifer."

Tomorrow, ABC dominates with the return of "The Middle," "Fresh of the Boat" and "black-ish" airing one after the other starting 8 p.m. ET. They will be followed by the pilot of a new sitcom "The Mayor," which tells the story of a hip hop artist's bid for the mayorship to promote his mixtape.

The long-awaited return of Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) for "Scandal" season 7 takes place Thursday, Oct. 5, at 9 p.m. ET with the soft-rebooted "Once Upon a Time" beginning a new chapter the following day at 8 p.m. ET.

On the same day, Netflix will also drop "Suburra," a new series based on the 2015 crime drama film of the same name. Rounding the week out is "Madam Secretary" returning on CBS on Sunday, Oct. 8, at 10 p.m. ET.

The second week of October will be huge on superheroes, metahumans and parallel universes with The CW premiering its comic book hits along with a crop of brand-new offerings.

Starting things off is "Supergirl" season 3 premiering Monday, Oct.9, at 8 p.m. ET. It will be followed by the pilot of the network's military drama conspiracy thriller "Valor."

Brand-new seasons of "The Flash" and Legends of Tomorrow" will kick off the next day at 8 p.m. ET and 9 p.m. ET, respectively. "Arrow" season 6 has been moved to Thursday nights with its premiere set on Oct. 12 at 9 p.m. ET. It will air after "Supernatural."

Its old Wednesday timeslot will be taken over by the "Dynasty" reboot starting Oct. 11, which will be preceded by another The CW hit, "Riverdale." This day also marks the return of "Mr. Robot" on USA Network.

Oct. 13 will see the premiere of brand new seasons of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" and "Jane the Virgin" on The W along with the release of "Mindhunter" and "Lore," new web shows by Netflix and Amazon, respectively.

On Monday, Oct. 16, the fourth and final season of "Star Wars Rebels" begins. "Freakish" drops on Hulu come Oct. 18 while the new murder mystery series "The Eleven" premieres on A&E come Oct. 19 at 9 p.m. ET.

As the month draws to a close, more highly-anticipated shows return including "The Walking Dead" premiering season 8 on Sunday, Oct. 22, at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.

"Stranger Things" season 2 will be available to binge-watch on Netflix come Oct. 27, which is the same day "Blindspot" returns to the small screen (8 p.m. ET). TNT closes the month by launching "Major Crimes" on Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 9 p.m. ET.
