'Fallout 4' DLC News: Feedback From Gamers To Influence Future Expansions
Open world role-playing game "Fallout 4" was only released back in November 2015, but its players are already asking about new content that will be coming to the game. According to a post in Moviepilot, fans of the game are hanging on to the word given by game director Todd Howard during the game's launch, that the game was going to be "huge" and that it's "hugeness" is "going to be well deep into next year."
Howard, however, did not give anything away about what's coming to the game as new downloadable content or DLC. His other statement talked about the game not being "done" until everybody plays it. The article speculated that this meant that "Fallout 4" will take into account what its players want in terms of new content. This is also emphasized by another statement of Howard's where he said, "Because what they bring to it is really important; we're going to see what people like, what they want more of, what they want different, and we're going to do that."
The game's open world is already huge as it is, so expanding it with new DLC will be a challenging but interesting feat. With Bethesda keeping quiet about what's in store for the game's Season Pass, many theories are already making the rounds online about what content can make the game more interesting. According to a report in Neurogadget, one of the expansions can bring the game underwater by adding underwater explorations. This speculation is apparently founded on one player's discovery of a mysterious sphere in the game's ocean floor. Since the player was not able to explore the sphere further, other players think that this may likely be another vault which upcoming DLC may give access to later on.
The report also mentioned the game expanding to a new city outside of Boston. One of the cities cited is Toronto, which has been mentioned previously in other games in the series.
In terms of player accessories, the report also cited the possibility of having mounts and vehicles available in the expansions. Some players are also hoping that the ability to tame the wild and mutated beasts will also be made available in upcoming content.
Lastly, the report also mentioned that an expanded Combat Zone would be welcome for most players as it allows them to hone their combat skills and increase their experience points.
