'Fallout 4' News: It's Finally Here

Fans of the post-apocalyptic role-playing video game series "Fallout" have every reason to rejoice. It was recently announced that the next installment of the series will be coming out soon. Although no release date has been shared, a big reveal is expected at the E3 2015 during Bethesda's press conference at the event.

Bethesda showed a screenshot on the game's official website, which had some "Easter eggs" that hinted at what's in store for fans in the upcoming. These included familiar items such as a new type of armor and new weapons. The screenshot also had an embedded trailer of the game, which featured actual gameplay footage.

A report in Tech Times breaks down the elements found on the first trailer that shows what can be expected in the final game. The first thing is the game's setting, which according to the trailer will be in Boston. This proves an earlier rumor that this will be the game's setting. Shots of familiar sites like Paul Revere's statue and colonial-style buildings were shown in the trailer.

The second matter that the trailer unveiled was that the game will only be for next-generation consoles -- the Xbox One and the PS4 -- as well as PC.

Man's best friend is back as a player's companion in the game. In the trailer, the environment is shown from the dog's perspective, then the dog is shown with his human companion.

Ron Perlman returns as the game's narrator. Perlman has been The Narrator for the video game series from the start, so in the trailer, he delivers his signature "War never changes" phrase as he always did.

Another familiar character is returning to the game as well. DJ Three Dog, who works at a fictional radio station within the game, is back. This was hinted by a radio tower with a sign that said "GNN," which was the radio station where Three Dog worked in the previous games in the series.

Bethesda Game Developers is developing "Fallout 4" with Bethesda Softworks publishing. The previous game of the series, "Fallout: New Vegas" was released way back in 2010.
