'Fallout 4' Patch News, Details: Bethesda Seeks To Provide More Improvements To The Game
Bethesda's latest game, "Fallout 4," launched last week and it has since taken the Internet by storm. Players from all over the world can't stop talking about the new sandbox game. There's good and there's bad. Apparently, the game studio admits that the latter aspect is an inevitable one.
The latest blog post in Bethesda.net cited the company saying that with the opportunity for the players to combine "too many unexpected elements at once" as well as the "scale and complexity of the systems at work," "unintentional consequences that are sometimes bad" are expected to happen.
Still, the "Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" maker claims that the fourth installment of the Fallout franchise series is their "most robust and solid release ever" yet.
To further provide the fans with a seamless gaming experience, Bethesda says that they are currently hard at work addressing "the top issues" bugging the overall gameplay. As for what these specific problems are all about, the blog post didn't mention.
However, Bethesda plans on updating the game the soonest as possible. In fact, it announced that the company will be releasing a beta patch on Steam which will be followed by a full release for the PC version of the game first and then to the PlayStation and Xbox gaming consoles afterwards.
To better execute the plan, fans should expect "smaller and more frequent" updates rather than "a few big ones." The roll out of updates in chunks apparently allow the studio to make the fixes more reliable and won't have any "unintentional side effects" when installed in the game.
The blogpost went on to confirm that Fallout 4 players will be getting the beta patch "next week."
Back in September, Bethesda announced to the public a downloadable content (DLC) which will roll out "early next year." As for what these expansion packs will be about, game director Todd Howard told Red Carpet Report (via Gamespot.com) that it will be shaped largely by what the fans would like to see.
Stay tuned for more updates.
