'Fallout 4': Fan Uncovers What's Hiding Underwater
"Fallout 4" players have often wondered why Bethesda has in place many ways to survive in the deep blue and if the publisher has, in fact, hidden some great treasures there. One player decided to find out for himself if there are indeed anything worthwhile to be found in the ocean floor.
Redditor Lavonicus put in more than 30 hours into the game for the sole purpose of exploring the depths. From the smallest of puddles to the depths of the ocean floor, this brave soul has more or less seen "100%ish" of everything that's under the water.
He found various safes, chests, and other locked boxes that are good places to find loot, as well as three Easter Egg to Jaws, pipes, and other underwater structures. He also found some nice places to see and visit. These places of interest and loot locations can be seen and explored by other players through the help of maps he has created.
Unfortunately, he did not find anything "colossal" or out of the ordinary.
"If you are looking for special items, new easter eggs and an underwater vault. Then you will be disappointed with what you find here," he said.
But he did find a sphere (video below) that piqued his interest so much. The pipes in question have writing on them. "New" or "Now" and "Try a" were the only words he could decipher, as the PS4 version of the game could not use "noclip" to dispel the blurry underwater effect. Whatever that means, if any, is anyone's guess at this point.
In addition to the "mysterious sphere," the question of the secret harpoon gun, which was shown as a concept art for the game in the past, remains unanswered. Lavonicus said he will comb through the waters in the DLC when the time comes.
