'Fallout Shelter': Unclear if PS4 Version of the Game Will Also Be Released
'Fallout Shelter' currently available for iOS and Android devices as well as the PC and the Xbox One
Earlier this week, "Fallout Shelter" was officially released for both Windows 10 and the Xbox One, though there is no guarantee that it will make its way to any other platforms.
Specifically, it is unclear if a PlayStation 4 version of the game will also be made available.
Recently, Bethesda vice president for PR and marketing Pete Hines was asked by Twitter user "Elektr0ns" if there was "any chance" that PS4 owners will also be able to play it on their preferred console.
Hines responded with a simple "dunno" to the question, adding that the developers didn't make the game specifically for the Xbox One and that it was instead designed for the universal Windows platform.
Later on, Hines provided a little more information about the game in a separate tweet, sharing that he does not know if it will be released for any other platforms.
It's understandable that PS4 owners also want to have their own version of "Fallout Shelter," especially since that could allow them to play the game for longer stretches of time.
Releasing a PS4 version of the game could also allow players to claim new Trophies to add to their collection.
While, there's no guarantee that the game will be making its way to any other consoles, PS4 owners who can't play it on their preferred platform can still access it via their mobile devices.
The game is also available for different iOS and Android devices for interested players and a PC version is available as well.
Beyond allowing players to take control of different Vault-dwellers in order to make the Vault a better place to live in, updates released post-launch have also brought in new features such as crafting and quest systems and even pets, according to a recent post on Bethesda.net.
More news about "Fallout Shelter" and whether it will make it to the PS4 should be made available soon.
