'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' News: J.K. Rowling Feels Close to the Film
Fans of J.K. Rowling are anticipating the newest addition to the wizarding world of Harry Potter, "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them."
It was previously announced that fans will see the world of magic once again when Eddie Redmayne takes on the role of Newt Scamander. Fans of the book are aware that this character had been mentioned in the book and movies as the man who wrote the book "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them."
With that, there is a lot of expectation ahead for the franchise. It was stated that the story will bring a new element to the world of Harry Potter, as it is expected to take place in New York. However, it will be set years before Harry Potter's existence.
Directed by David Yates, the film will show several beasts, wizards, and magical beings all around America, as opposed to Europe, where the previous installments of "Harry Potter" were set.
It was also said that this will be the first time for J.K. Rowling to screen write for the franchise. She explained that she will be involved in a deeper way in the upcoming film, since she will be the one in charge of the script.
According to Variety, she said, "This is a different level of involvement. I feel very very close to this project."
In addition, the executive producer of the series, David Yates, was able to speak to Pottermore about the script. He said, "It's a beautiful script. These characters are special, they're really moving and funny. You see bits of yourself in them, or you see people you know."
Along with Redmayne, the cast will include , Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Colin Farrell, Samantha Morton, Ezra Miller, Carmen Ejogo, Jon Voight, Ron Perlman, and Josh Cowdery.
"Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" is expected to hit theaters this Nov. 18.
