Farrah Abraham Daughter in Therapy
"Teen Mom" star Farrah Abraham is away from home a lot and has decided to take daughter Sophia to therapy to help her adjust when she's away. Abraham works as a spokeswoman for several agencies, which require her to be away from the four-year-old.
"I take her to mommy and baby counseling once a month," Abraham told OK! Magazine. "I just make sure that her world is not really affected by her mom being a businesswoman who likes to travel a lot."
The 22-year-old often posts information about her whereabouts and scheduled appearances in order to help promote business. She has help from her father, Michael, in taking care of Sophia, who recently started preschool. The little girl's life has been featured on MTV since her birth on "16 & Pregnant." Sophia's father is deceased after being killed in a car accident before she was even born.
Abraham, who has had differences with her family, moved to Texas with Sophia. She has worked in the adult entertainment industry, which greatly upset her mother and caused a bit of embarrassment for her father. Abraham has also written her first book and, according to her Twitter feed, is working on another book that will "put the Adult Industry on Blast."
Many have criticized Abraham for working in the adult entertainment industry and setting the example for her young daughter, who has been privy to her mother's actions thanks to the Internet and even conversations with her mom.
"I do tell her that I go to nightclubs," Abraham told OK! Magazine. "I do tell her that Mommy will be here in this city at that club. I make her aware; I have nothing to hide. Every time I leave, it gets harder on Sophia because she wants to come with me."
Abraham, who became famous on "16 & Pregnant," then appeared on several seasons of "Teen Mom," has said she no longer wants anything to do with MTV.
