Farrah Abraham Strikes Plea Deal in DUI Case, Won't Serve Jail Time

Farrah Abraham won't spend a day behind bars if a judge accepts her offered plea deal. Abraham was arrested for driving under the influence in March but blamed the incident on medication; now she agreed to plead guilty in order to avoid jail time.

Abraham is due in court on June 20 to learn her fate, but reports state that she has agreed to a deal with the Douglas County District Attorney's office. She will have her license suspended for a time and pay $500 in fines, but she will not serve any jail time. The charges of disorderly conduct and refusing to take a field sobriety test will be dropped, TMZ reported.

The single mother initially said that she was on medication at the time of the arrest and that they had caused her to act out of sorts.

"It was St. Patrick's Day and I was out with my sister," Abraham told In Touch Weekly. "I did not plan to drink because I was sick, so I took the role of being in charge and making sure my sister and I would return home together and safely. At 10 p.m. I tried to leave, and at that time, my sister was not ready to leave, so I had been sipping on drinks to pass the time."

"When I was parked, a police officer asked me what I was doing, so I told him I was worried about my sister and I was trying to go home. They insisted on the regular questions and asked me to get out of the car," Abraham explained. "I got out of the car and because I was upset, I yelled."

Abraham will not serve any jail time and be allowed to keep on building her empire and focus on raising her daughter, Sophia. However, with a limited license, Abraham may have to rely upon public transportation or even call in a favor from the limousine company she is a spokeswoman for.
