'Fast 8' News: Nathalie Emmanuel Returns

Production rolls on for the eighth installment of "Fast and Furious" and to give fans another reason to be excited for the movie, Vin Diesel announced on Thursday that Nathalie Emmanuel will make a comeback alongside other returning stars.

In an Instagram video, Diesel is seen driving Emmanuel around in a golf cart while he lip syncs to the tune of "By Your Side" by Sade. Emmanuel appears to be very excited as she smiles at the camera while swaying her head back and forth to the song. He captioned the video: "Ramsey's back! Love this girl...#F8"

The 27-year-old actress played a very important role in the previous "Fast and Furious" installment. She played Ramsey, a computer hacker, and the creator of "God's Eye," a highly technological system that is able to infiltrate data in less than five minutes.

Entertainment Weekly adds that Emmanuel is known for her role in the hit HBO series "Game of Thrones" as Missandei.

In "Fast 7," Ramsey was kidnapped and later saved by Paul Walker's Brian O'Conner and Diesel's Dom Toretto. It has yet to be revealed what exactly her storyline will be in "Fast 8" but it is expected that she will once again appear for a significant reason.

Meanwhile, Cleveland News reveals that crews in Cleveland, Ohio have started filming scenes for the sequel on Monday. Onlookers reported to have spotted filming activities along Superior Avenue and E. 6th street.

Since the Cleveland team consists of cast and crew within the second unit, it is unlikely that Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, and other main characters will be seen in the area during production since they are part of the first unit.

"Fast and Furious 8," which still does not have an official title, is a vital part of the franchise as it will have to deliver a storyline worth watching for fans of the late Walker, whose untimely death in 2013 ignited a worldwide stir among moviegoers who have been following the massive franchise ever since it started.

Walker died in November 2013 alongside his friend Roger Rodas after the car Rodas was driving hit a tree and caught fire. It was impossible for authorities to recognize Walker and Rodas as their bodies were reportedly badly charred from the fire.

Both Diesel and Walker are original characters who started with the franchise. Diesel said earlier this year that the upcoming film is a tribute to his dear friend and co-star.

"Fast and Furious 8" is slated for release on April 14, 2017.
