'Fast and Furious 8' Cast Rumors: Bollywood Joins the Race?

In what could be one of the most interesting rumors that has ever hit the "Fast and Furious 8" team, it is rumored that Vin Diesel will most likely cast Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone as a member of the gang.

A report from Yibada says it is highly possible that Diesel will include Padukone on the list of possible additions to the spectacular team. This is because the prominent actor and franchise producer is known to get his costars in other films to become new members of the next "Fast and Furious" movie.

It is worth noting that Padukone is going to be with Diesel in the sequel of "XXX." This gives the Bollywood star a chance to possibly bag a female lead role for the eighth installment in one of the most welcomed franchises in history.

The rumor was further fueled when Padukone uploaded a photo of her with Diesel. Bollywood fans immediately went crazy and further speculated that she is on the way to the "FF" set.

While there is no confirmation from both parties just yet, Padukone's entry to the franchise would pave the way for a fascinating story line and a fresh start, especially considering that Paul Walker's passing remains in the hearts of grieving fans. A new face could be a good idea to spice up the team.

Another actress who has been rumored for the past months to possibly get into the fast car action is Helen Mirren. Diesel worked with Mirren in "The Last Witch Hunter," which gave fans the idea that she is a good fit for the "FF" cast, given that she successfully pulled off her duo with Diesel.

Some outlets suggest that Diesel has actually dropped hints about Mirren joining the cast. However, without official word from both parties, the speculations remain as they are.

Meanwhile, the movie has yet to receive its title, but some outlets suggest that it would possibly be "Fast 8" or with a striking subtitle that would make the movie much more attracting to moviegoers.

The eighth installment in the "Fast and Furious" franchise is expected to premiere in April of 2017.
