'Fast & Furious Live' News: Live Show Kicks Off in London in January
The "Fast & Furious" live tour is set to kick off in London early next year. The tour will reportedly cover 23 cities in 14 countries and will bring fans into the world of the popular franchise.
Back in August, actor and producer Vin Diesel teased that a "state of the art" live show for the "Fast & Furious" franchise was in the offing. Although details about this big event were mostly shrouded in secrecy, there was no stopping fans from speculating what that "live show" would be like.
Universal and Fast Live Productions finally confirmed recently that a "Fast & Furious" live tour was happening soon, giving fans the opportunity to bask in the world of the franchise. The recent announcement revealed that the upcoming tour would include a recreation of some of the most remarkable moments in all the films under the franchise. The tour will also feature a new narrative and set of stunts, which will include "precision performance driving" and "state-of-the-art 3D projection mapping."
In its official statement, Universal Brand Development president Vince Klaseus said, "Fast & Furious Live will allow audiences worldwide to experience the extreme action sequences from the franchise through an authentic live experience."
He added, "With this live show, we are redefining fan access and bringing audiences closer than ever to their favorite movie moments."
The producers of the show had initially announced the big "Fast & Furious" event back in February, but it was not until last month that they confirmed that it was going to be a tour.
In August, Diesel talked about the project via a Facebook Live event and said: "As you know, my work with Fast & Furious never ends." He elaborated: "I am in New York, believe it or not, and we are filming something that is going to be pretty state of the art—something no one's ever seen before, which is a live show."
Tickets for the "Fast & Furious" tour will go on sale starting Sept. 29.
