'Fate/Apocrypha' Episode 17 Spoilers: Jack the Ripper to Play a More Significant Role in the Great Holy Grail War?
The ongoing Great Holy Grail War has already taken many unexpected twists and turns, with many of the current servants in both the Red and Black factions gaining new perspectives, and even new loyalties along the way. But how will all these change when the Assassin of Black decides to finally join the fray on the Japanese action-fantasy anime series, "Fate/Apocrypha"?
Jack the Ripper, a.k.a. the Assassin of Black, has yet to join the Great Holy Grail War. When her original master, Hyouma Sagara, tried to sacrifice a prostitute named Reika while summoning her, Jack ended up killing Hyouma, thus, transferring master status to Reika.
But since Reika has no talent at being a magus, she makes up for this by making Jack devour violent criminals as her source of energy.
Apparently, Jack was originally born from the collective wraiths from tens of thousands of aborted children of prostitutes at Whitechapel, London. This could also be the reason why she has taken to calling Reika as her mother.
After the previous episode focused on Jack's whereabouts and what she has been up to all this time, viewers of the series are now expecting a more action-packed installment in the next episode as the Great Holy Grail War continues.
There have also been talks about why Fiore, Archer of Black's master, had not resorted to using a command spell in order to call her servant at a very crucial moment. One possible theory offered by a fan was that the toxic mist's impact on the master's nerves and mentality have messed up her focus that she could not even think of using a command spell to save herself.
The Great Holy Grail War continues to get more intense as each participant fights for what he or she believes is right. How will a wild card like Jack the Ripper affect the battle's ultimate outcome?
