FBI Documents Reveal Sandy Hook Shooter Was Fascinated With Massive Shootings

Last Tuesday, the FBI released some documents exposing new details about Newtown school shooter Adam Lanza. The documents revealed that the shooter actually had pedophilia, but there was no proof that Lanza carried out the shooting as a result of his condition.

Back in December 2012, Lanza carried out a massive shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, where 20 Grade 1 students and six teachers were killed. After going on a killing spree, Lanza shot himself.

The new FBI documents are just part of the 1,500-page record laying down the details of the shooting incident, as investigated by the agency. The documents also reveal the possibility of Lanza having planned the shooting as early as March 2011. According to the FBI, he engaged in a careful and methodical planning and preparation before committing the massacre.

"The shooter was fascinated with past shootings and researched them thoroughly. The shooter shared many similar characteristics and behaviors with other active shooters," reads the document.

A separate document says that during the course of the investigation, one unidentified woman came up to the FBI to tell them that Lanza actually had adult-child sexual relationships, claiming that she once had an "online relationship" with the shooter too.

The FBI also revealed that Lanza had a spreadsheet of hundreds of mass murders and spree killings, but he believed that mass killing was a symptom of a broken society. According to the unidentified woman, Lanza might have thought he was saving the children from the society when he killed them. She also said that when he was still alive, her ex-boyfriend looked upon school shooters "with respect and understanding."

Describing Lanza as someone who's "extremely intelligent but depressed and cynical," the woman also revealed that he had a generally negative view of the world and had no friends. He even found food unappealing and hated the natural light, so he avoided daylight and spent most of his time inside his room.
