'Fear the Walking Dead' Season 2 Episode 3 Recap: How Flight 462's Survivors Alex and Jake Are Discovered
In the recently aired episode (three), "Ouroboros," of Fear the Walking Dead's (FTWD) second season, the characters went through a lot of gory and zombie-slaying encounters, promising viewers a nail-biting and seat-gripping experience.
Numerous plot developments were revealed, one of them being the secret destination Strand (Colman Domingo) intended to take them to. A light was shed on the mysterious destination after Daniel (Ruben Blades) found charts about Baja. He later took Madison (Kim Dickens) aside for a private conversation about it and convinced her to confront Strand about his secret plan and to fish some information out of him as to why he was steering all of them towards Mexican waters.
Whilst the Madison−Strand drama went on onboard the ship, Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey), Nick (Frank Dillane), and Chris(Lorenzo James Henrie), under Daniel's watchful eye, volunteered to go ashore to collect much needed supplies, medicine, and weaponry from a bunch of luggage floating around, evidently wreckage from a plane crash.
Chris then strayed from the group, going further into the heart of the wrecked plane and coming face-to-face with an infected man who talked him into "ending his pain," in a Liza(Elizabeth Rodriguez)-relevant mercy-killing situation.
When Chris does not return after considerable time had passed, Daniel decided to go looking for him with no choice but to leave Alicia and Nick to watch each other's backs. During his search, he came across a woman, Alex (Michelle Ang), who told him, "They're coming!"
Sure enough, a hoard of the infected staggered across the dunes towards them. Chris, whom Alicia had found holding a blood-stained weapon, then joined the others in the skirmish that began. Their group slashed and ran, desperately trying to reach the boat alive. Nick, who barely escaped with his life from being surrounded by infected after falling into a beach embankment, then assisted in the battle against the increasing number of zombies.
They then approached the boat at the first chance they get, now with two new accomplices, Alex and Jake. Strand denied them passage and was even more unwilling to let them tow a raft to the boat. As the boat was started, they hurriedly put as much distance between them and the zombie-infested shore. Strand cuts the tow line, even after Madison's constant pleads not to, and the raft disappeared into the distance.
As the next episode's air date gets closer and closer, spoilers have scattered around like wild fire. The said spoilers mostly revolve around the enigmatic Alex and her experiences on Flight 462, a distressed new family allowed onboard the ship, and the unraveling of Strand's past which will be revealed on May 1, FTWD's when episode four is scheduled to play.
