'Fear The Walking Dead' Season 2 News: Kim Dickens Speaks About New Challenges
Even though the finale of "The Walking Dead" Season 6 had just ended the season, fans can expect to see more zombies when "Fear The Walking Dead" returns with its second season this weekend.
The companion series "Fear The Walking Dead" had a successful first season, giving a different persepective to the apocalyptic world of "The Walking Dead." After several months, fans have been waiting to see what Madison's family will be up to in the new season of "Fear The Walking Dead."
According to Independent, Kim Dickens, who plays the role of Madison in the series, was able to share some details about the upcoming season. She explained that while the first season of "Fear The Walking Dead" showed the downfall of Los Angeles, the upcoming season will begin more quickly.
The characters were last seen deciding to take move onto the yacht, in order to keep themselves safe from the zombies on the land and the season will begin to explore how the characters deal with their new world, as they struggle with life on the water.
Dickens explained that more challenges will be given to the characters, which will have them faced with both heroism and villainy. Dickens said, "The characters will be more and more challenged. Because of the honest storytelling, we're going to see characters evolve and devolve in different ways as we imagine people would in an end-of-the-world scenario. So we explore all of that: our struggle to hold onto morality and humanity; the struggle to define coherence as well as learning how to adjust your moral compass."
With that said, there will be more to come for many of the characters. In addition, the newest addition to the group, Strand, played by Colman Domingo, will also play a major role in the upcoming season. It was hinted that he could become someone the group will fear as the series progresses.
In the meantime, fans will have to wait until the premiere of "Fear The Walking Dead" Season 2 this April 10.
