'Fear the Walking Dead' Season 2 Plot News: Water Action Next Season

After the successful first season of "The Walking Dead's" companion series titled "Fear the Walking Dead," the upcoming season is expected to bring the story to an interesting setting.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the creator of the series, Dave Erickson, shared some details about what fans can expect in the second season of "Fear the Walking Dead." Erickson explained that they are planning to explore the idea of zombies in a water setting.

The finale of "Fear the Walking Dead" season 1 ended with the group escaping to the sea. They hopped onto the yacht of Victor Strands, played by Colman Domingo, in order to get away from the infection. However, Erickson explained that they will still see trouble ahead, as others set out to follow the yacht.

According to Erickson, he and his team have been fascinated with the idea of taking the zombie action onto the water. It was an idea that the writers have thought of late into the progression of the story. With that, they were able to lead the season into its introduction. Erickson said that viewers will get to experience a lot of sea-bound refugees throughout the second season. With that, they will have to deal with trying to build a community in harmony, which will pose as a challenge.

However, it seems as though the trouble will come fast in the upcoming season of the series. The previous episode showed Liza being shot by Travis because she was already bit. During the interview, it was pointed out that it was probably not a good idea to use a gun because its loud noise will surely attract many zombie.

With that, Erickson replied, "You know what? That's a very good point. You should tune into the premiere of next season and you'll see what happens."

"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 is expected to premiere in fall of 2016.
