'Fear the Walking Dead' Season 3 News, Spoilers: Emma Caulfield Joins Cast; Travis Now 'Fully Apocalyptic'

The cast of "Fear the Walking Dead" is getting bigger as season 3 adds Emma Caulfield as a guest star. However, it remains to be seen who she will be playing.

According to TVLine, Caulfield's exact role has not been revealed, leaving her character name and description behind curtains. It is also unknown if she will be appearing for only one episode or if she will stay for more. Her story arc likewise remains tightly under wraps.

However, the media outlet suggests that Caulfield could be playing an antagonistic role who will clash with Nick (Frank Dillane) and Luciana (Danay Garcia). It can be recalled that the pair were last seen being shot at after they mistakenly thought they were being rescued. And while who exactly those people are has yet to be determined, executive producer Dave Erickson assures fans that it is not military-related.

"If you check their uniforms at all, there's no insignias, there's no stripes, no rank," he told Yahoo TV in October. "I think we'll find ourselves dealing with something of a paramilitary, or militia, organization."

As for the rest of the gang, Travis (Cliff Curtis), after hearing about the death of Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie), went crazy in the season 2 finale and killed his son's murderers. And while Travis has long been known for being a pacifist, things are certainly going to be different from here on out.

"It's not something that he's going to bounce back from," Erickson revealed to Entertainment Weekly. "We took our time getting there with Travis, but he will be fully apocalyptic now, as we move forward."

Strand (Colman Domingo), on the other hand, will also undergo a change, but it will be something familiar to audiences. After having gone through so much, Strand will be back to his old self come the third season.

"What we're going to see is a Strand, moving into Season 3, who is going to return to himself. We're going to see a Strand who has a plan, and that con artistry is going to return," Erickson explained to Yahoo! TV.

"Fear the Walking Dead" season 3 is set to premiere this year on AMC.
