'Fear The Walking Dead' Spoilers: Alicia Takes Over as Leader While Threat Looms; Will She Survive?

The ranch is in grave danger in the upcoming episode of "Fear the Walking Dead" season 3, but the group has no idea what they will be up against.

Alicia Clark (Alycia Debnam-Carey) will assume as the temporary leader in the episode airing Sunday, Sept. 24 as Nick Clark (Frank Dillane) and Jake Otto (Sam Underwood) leave the group at the Broke Jaw Ranch to take care of a sensitive situation.

Alicia, however, might not be up to the task as new photos AMC released showed the youngest Clark trying her best to fight the threat. Her eyes, however, show great fear. Will she survive this threat long enough to see the larger world hinted in the sneak peek from AMC?

Jake talked to Alicia about this new community before he left with Nick. She's convinced they are in a livable place in the ranch but Jake knows there's a bigger and better place out there.

Meanwhile, their families continue to thrive in the militia-ruled ranch despite earlier tensions with hostile occupants. Surprisingly, Troy Otto (Daniel Sharman) will return with Nick and Clark after being forced out by another group.

Despite these interesting developments, however, "Fear the Walking Dead" faces a tougher challenge with ratings this season. The numbers for the show continue to drop even as Forbes stated this has been the best season so far in terms of story development.

AMC has not yet confirmed the status of this spinoff to "The Walking Dead" for next season vis-à-vis its production cost. The ratings might be down compared to season 2, but "Fear the Walking Dead" is still one of the cable network's popular show.

"Fear the Walking Dead" will return with a new episode on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 9:00 p.m. EST. The show also stars Kim Dickens (Madison), Colman Domingo (Strand), Ruben Blades (Daniel), Mercedes Mason (Ofelia), Danay Garcia (Luciana), Lisandra Tena (Lola Guerrero) and Michael Greyeyes (Qaletqa Walker).
