'Feud' Season 1 Episode 6: Jack Forces Bob to Make a Follow-up
The upcoming episode of "Feud" season 1 will see Jack Warner (Stanley Tucci) forcing Bob Aldrich (Alfred Molina) into making another film starring both Bette Davis (Susan Sarandon) and Joan Crawford (Jessica Lange).
The synopsis of the next episode, titled "Hagsploitation," states that the success of "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" will make Jack want to produce another hag horror flick. As a result, he will coerce Bob to make a follow-up, complete with the original Davis and Crawford duo. However, it does not seem like that will be possible, especially considering the two divas' bad blood.
Meanwhile, Joan will be threatened by someone from her past, but it remains to be seen how she will deal with the situation.
A teaser trailer for the new episode has also been released online. It features Jack speaking to Bob in his office as he tells him to "get those two harpies' signatures on the dotted line." Bob does not seem confident about the idea and is obviously not on board with it. However, he has to do what his boss says.
Joan points out that she was "overshadowed" by Bette the first time around, and she is not about to put herself through the same kind of hell again. It is clear that she wants no part in a follow-up. Bette, on the other hand, is "through getting pushed around." Both Joan and Bette refuse to agree to Bob's request, but Jack insists that no one else can pull it off.
Meanwhile, here is a brief recap of the previous episode, titled "And the Winner is... (The Oscars of 1963)."
With Bette up for a record-breaking third Oscar, Joan did everything she could to make sure she did not win. Even more so, she made sure that she would get the spotlight on Oscar night. She called up the other nominees and offered to accept the Best Actress award in their place if they could not make it. In the end, Joan got what she wanted when Anne Bancroft won, and Joan went up on stage acting like she actually had.
"Feud" season 1 airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EDT on FX.
