During an interview with Elle, Johnson explained that she is up for anything when it comes to the movie. She said, "I don't have any problem doing anything. The secret is I have no shame."

She also explained that she found the story interesting, and not just because of the racy scenes. She said that when she read the book, she was more interested in the way the characters were breaking through each other's walls emotionally. She said, "I think there's a part of a woman that wants to be the thing that breaks a man down."

Besides the two leads, it was revealed that the sequel will bring new characters to the story: Mrs. Robinson, Leila Williams, and Jack Hyde. It was revealed that the new characters will impact the lives of Anastasia and Christian in a dramatic way.

After many delays, fans of the "Fifty Shades" trilogy will finally be able to witness more on the story of Anastasia and Christian as "Fifty Shades Darker" is expected to release on Feb. 10, 2017.
