'Final Fantasy 15' DLC Release Date: Square Enix Promises New Approach in New Content Offerings
To celebrate the first anniversary of "Final Fantasy 15," game director Hajime Tabata graced a special Active Time Report to talk about what the new year has in store for gamers.
There, he revealed that he wants to release at least three "Episode" add-ons next year including one that focuses on Ardyn.
Tabata added that this "Final Fantasy 15" episode will be an attempt to set right the issues fans had with the insufficient portrayal of the world's story.
He also noted that he is aware of the demand for content that focuses on Luna. Whether she will be the central character in one of the "Episode" downloadable contents (DLCs) coming to the game next year remains to be seen.
Lastly, Tabata explained their new approach in the release of DLCs for "Final Fantasy 15," saying that they will be all for quality over quantity.
He said that Square Enix will focus on putting together "properly sufficient" DLC as opposed to releasing content just to have something to offer or make a deadline.
This appears to be a way for them to prevent problems with deficient content for "Final Fantasy 15," which, as mentioned above, they suffered this year.
Square Enix is taking to heart the feedback and criticism that gamers gave them so their mindset is to make sure that they not only meet their expectations but "betray" expectations, meaning he wants to blow them away and give them more of what they think they are getting.
He also wants to come out with content that will renew the interest of those who have given up on "Final Fantasy 15." That being said, 2018 is looking to be a big year for the community.
"Final Fantasy 15" is currently available on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A PC version arrives early next year.
