'Final Fantasy 15' News: Environments To Be Featured in the 'Windows Edition' at the 'Next Level,' Hints Director Hajime Tabata

Several elements of the open world will be depicted in greater detail in the 'Windows Edition'

The "Windows Edition" of "Final Fantasy 15" is expected to be a step above the ones available on consoles right now, especially when it comes to visuals.

Speaking recently to GameSpot, director Hajime Tabata touched on what fans can look forward to seeing once the "Windows Edition" is released, sharing that their "in-house engineering with the Luminous Engine has moved up a step in development."

Tabata also revealed that they are "at the next level in terms of our environmental creations."

Having Tabata share something like that is a big deal as it can really work to elevate expectations for the role-playing game's PC debut.

The console versions already feature stunning depictions of the game's open world, so the idea that things are going to advance even further visually is an exciting one to say the least.

So how then are the developers of the "Windows Edition" planning to make the world of "Final Fantasy 15" look even better than it currently does?

An earlier post on Geforce.com is already hinting at the different ways that the "Windows Edition" will be visually superior to its console counterparts.

Fields of grass for instance are going to be depicted in even greater detail once the RPG heads to the PC. Fire and smoke will be shown better as well, and players may even see the wind affecting those in real time.

Visual elements that players may not pay attention to all of the time such as shadows are also going to be animated better in the upcoming edition.

Beyond the improved graphics, there are some other features that will be introduced in the "Windows Edition" that can get the attention of gamers such as the new first-person mode and mod support.

The "Windows Edition" of "Final Fantasy 15" is currently set to be released sometime early next year.
