'Final Fantasy 15' on Nintendo Switch Rumors: What Are the Chances a Switch Version Will Be Made?

Many of 'Final Fantasy 15's' developers are interested in the Nintendo Switch, according to director Hajime Tabata

"Final Fantasy 15" has been well-received by many fans and critics, which explains why plenty of people are still wondering if the role-playing game will eventually be made available on more platforms.

Specifically, with the Nintendo Switch already set to be released soon, many fans are asking if that new gaming platform may also become home to the latest installment of this long-running RPG franchise.

Recently, director Hajime Tabata answered questions related to this very matter.

During an interview with Polygon, Tabata shared his thoughts about the Switch, remarking on its potential and versatility.

Tabata even mentioned in the interview that he and the other developers are still "really interested" in the Nintendo Switch even though they are not working on anything just yet that will be released for that platform specifically.

The interest is certainly there, but it appears that alone may not be enough to get "Final Fantasy 15" on the Nintendo Switch.

During an earlier interview with DualShockers, Tabata also talked about the Switch and pointed out an important reason why the RPG may not be perfectly at home on Nintendo's newest offering.

According to Tabata, they are still unsure if the RPG can actually run as intended on the Switch, and that's obviously a big deal, especially since this game is more action-oriented than earlier "Final Fantasy" titles.

Performance can't be sacrificed for a game that is predicated upon giving players fast-paced battles. And while the portability of the Switch is certainly an attractive quality, that alone may not be a good enough reason to make it available for that platform.

For what it's worth, it appears that Tabata has not ruled out the possibility of the RPG making its way to the Switch eventually, but even if that does become a reality, it may still take a while before that happens.

More news about "Final Fantasy 15" should be made available soon.
