'Final Fantasy VII Remake' Update: Main Scenario Complete Plus More Details of the Series' First Entry
"Final Fantasy VII Remake" producer, director, and scenario writer were featured in a magazine interview this week. They shared some details about the upcoming game from Square Enix.
Producer Yoshinori Kitase, director Tetsuya Nomura, and scenario writer Kazushige Nojima spoke with Famitsu in an interview that is part of the magazine's issue this week, reports Gematsu citing Hachima Kikou. They shared several details about the game.
According to Hachima's notes on the interview, the three revealed that the main scenario for the first entry is already complete. In addition, they also stated that "Final Fantasy VII Remake's" cloud's auditory hallucination scenes will be more "meaningful."
They said that "Final Fantasy VII Remake" would like to explore deeper into Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie. It will also explore all the surrounding areas of Midgar.
The interview also confirmed what has already been reported regarding "Final Fantasy VII's" use of Unreal Engine 4. In addition, the three Japanese also stated that the team behind the upcoming game is receiving technological assistance from the team responsible for "Kingdom Hearts."
As to those wondering if "Final Fantasy VII Remake" will include any online features, they can't say right now. They can't also confirm, as of now, if the game will have a guard.
But the game will have an "ATB Gauge" that turns red. This new gauge is different from a Limit Break. The developer-publisher also has plans on a special system that will be affected by how a gamer plays. Those interested in this new system, however, will have to wait for future updates as they can't reveal it as of this time.
They have, however, confirmed that voicing cast will be the same talent pool from that in "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children." Red XIII, however, will likely have a different voice since he is only making a cameo in "Final Fantasy VII Remake."
"Final Fantasy VII Remake" is currently in development. The upcoming game will release as a multi-part series, although exactly how many volumes "Final Fantasy VII Remake" will have, they can't say at this stage.
The game will come exclusively to the PlayStation 4, but as to when, Square Enix has yet to announce.
