Final Fantasy VII Remake Updates: Scenes and Compilation Inclusions, Number of Installments
The "Final Fantasy VII Remake" has been confirmed for some time; however, fans have been long in waiting for anything concrete regarding the details of the game. The producer of the "Final Fantasy VII Remake," Yoshinori Kitase, has explained "…we'd been working on the XIII series for the last 10 years. My team and I were mainly focused on that project. The Final Fantasy VII Remake would be an equivalent---or even greater---project in terms of scale, and so it would have been hard to do both at the same time."
And now that the XIII is done, the Sqaure Enix team is now ready to tackle the bigger "Final Fantasy VII Remake" project, seeing that the XV project is being taken care of by Hajime Tabata. Kitase teases that the game will be a full-scale one wherein a pre-existing story is already in place, in contrast to XIII where a different story is handled for every installment.
The games' producer also revealed that not all of the characters from the game's spin-offs and compilation content shall be integrated, but the team developing the remake will incorporate whatever they deem appropriate to include.

In addition, Final Fantasy visuals as well as gameplay will be modelled after the Dissidia-esque style but will not be as action-focused. Kitase also said that, as a remake, the game shall allow players to experience the nostalgia of familiarity with the game such as the Cloud's dressing of a female and the Aerith scene, but will introduce elements of surprise in order to keep the interest of players going.
The game producer indicated that they have an idea of how many installments they want to work up to but cannot reveal the information for now since the stories and scenes are still being developed, and as such, changes may come up.
With the game still in its first phases of development, it may be some time before gaming fans will see its official release. Meantime, Final Fantasy enthusiasts are doing their best to be heard regarding what they want retained or booted off the remake. For instance, once fan said the Kalm flashback ought to go while another hopes that the "Reno" spoilers will get re-written.
