'Final Fantasy XV: Comrades' Expansion News: Launch Date Confirmed
The launch date for the upcoming "Comrades" expansion pack for "Final Fantasy XV" has finally been confirmed.
Game developer Square Enix has announced that the online multiplayer expansion pack of "Final Fantasy XV" titled "Comrades" will be released on Nov. 15, which is two weeks later than the initial launch date.
"#FFXVComrades will be released on 15th November! We hope you will join us in bringing the Light back to Lucis," their announcement read on Twitter.
"Final Fantasy XV: Comrades" was initially set to be released last Oct. 31. However, Square Enix moved the launch date due to unspecified reasons. They moved the date to possibly add final adjustments that will enhance players' gaming experience to the best possible version.
Details of the game issues addressed by Square Enix in pushing the launch date remain kept under wraps. However, it is possible that the developers needed more time to work on the issues that surfaced in the beta testing of the game back in August.
The beta testing revealed that the "Comrades" online expansion pack had server issues, along with matchmaking errors.
Players will have to buy "Final Fantasy XV" before they can avail of the "Comrades" expansion pack. In the upcoming DLC, "Final Fantasy" players will be able to create their own character and form a group with three other gamers to go over quests online.
"Comrades" follows the events that took place in Chapter 13, when Noctis leaves the waking world to begin his spiritual journey in a crystal cocoon, and players will be taking the role of one Kingsglaive to keep peace in the world.
Square Enix is anticipated to have a new update to the game where players can hang out with Noctis' bodyguards — Gladio, Prompto, and Ignis.
The "Comrades" expansion pack will launch on Nov. 15 and will be available PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
