Final Fantasy XV Release Date News: New Screenshots Revealed Before Game Demo
"Final Fantasy XV," the 15th instalment of the "Final Fantasy" game series, recently had screenshots released prior to the launch of "Final Fantasy XV" Episode Duscae demo on March 17. The screenshots show scenes from Episode Duscae which features scenes of the Duscae region and new missions that Noctis and his team will encounter.
The screenshots "look absolutely gorgeous" according to IGN, which bodes well for what the final game will look like. Gameplay, based on 40 minutes of gameplay from the demo, will feature five new combat moves for Noctis, the main protagonist.
The "jump" move was demonstrated, allowing Noctis to "launch" himself in the air and then come back down on his opponent. He is also able to teleport three ways during combat. Another ability is to be able to "sneak up" on their opponents by making use of objects in their environment. Noctis can also "summon a variety of weapons" during battle. And lastly, he is able to use a "a cool sword barrier" which he has been using since "Final Fantasy XIII."

For users to get a hold of the demo, it will be made available with Final Fantasy Type-0, which will be released for Xbox One and Playstation 4 on March 17 in the U.S. and March 20 in Europe. IGN noted that it will only be released with the Day One edition of Type-0, so copies will be limited.
Those who will get a hold of the demo will be treated at least three hours of gameplay, and while users' game progress cannot be used for the final XV game, the report said that "completing the demo will trigger an 'ending' that touches on the full-game's story."
"Final Fantasy XV" has been in development since May 2006. In June 2013, the game's developers Square Enix, announced that it was shifting platforms from Playstation 3 to Playstation 4 and Xbox One. No final release date for the full game has been set.
